I've sort of lost some of my respect and admiration for Jamie because I found out that he does drugs. I mean, I know a lot of great musicians and artists do, but I guess I was just living in an innocent little fantasy-land where true genius existed without mind-altering substances. I'll still be a Gorillaz fan and a Tank Girl fan until the day I die, but it won't ever be same.

Aw, you shouldn't loose respect for him because of that.
It is a shame that a lot of artists do drugs as well as other things, but even if those inebriating substances are the source of these odd visions and characters he comes up with - I feel it's probably only a catalyst to things that were hidden inside his psyche to begin with. Dare I say it... inspiration.
I personally do not do drugs (I honestly can't imagine how my ideas would be any more fucked up than they are now), nor do I think I'll ever need them - but I guess some people need something to kick them into high gear.

It's just... ugh. It pisses me off. Drugs make me so mad and I have no idea why. That's not... fair? Yeah, it's not fair. People who didn't know he did drugs (myself, up until a while ago) just thought he was a genius, and that's almost like lying to people.
